Seven-time Cy Young award winner Roger Clemens filed a defamation and libel lawsuit Sunday night against his former trainer Brian McNamee.  The suit claims that 15 statements made by McNamee in the Mitchell report are “absolutely false and defamatory”. 

Clemens also claims in the suit that McNamee was pressured and bullied, contrary to a statement by McNamee’s attorney, into a statement. It was after this, in  which McNamee was threatened with jail time, that on his second interogation he gave information on Clemens after intially saying Clemens was clean.Â
