Welcome to SOX & Dawgs!! As you’ve noticed we’ve moved and are now a part of the Bloguin Network.

I’m stoked to be a part of a great blog network and am looking forward to the future here.

If you don’t know what SOX & Dawgs is about, we are mainly a Boston Red Sox and UConn Huskies site. We also dabble in the New England Patriots as well as other sports news and occasionally some news of the weird.

We’ve been around since 2005 but didn’t really get into it until 2007. Over the existence of the site, I’ve added two writers, Steve and Amanda, who stop in from time to time. Steve used to write for the site full-time until work commitments got in the way. He did/does the Patriots stuff so you’ll still see him around.

With the Red Sox and UConn, I try to do what amounts to a link dump once or twice a day plus giving my thoughts where possible. We also do game recaps for the UConn Huskies women’s basketball, men’s basketball and football teams.

With the Red Sox, I have a little series that I call Red Sox late morning, afternoon, evening delight. Those posts usually contain the starting lineups for the game that day as well as some stats about the pitchers as well as the batter/pitcher matchups. I’ll also add some commentary in as well.

As you peruse the site right now, we are still under construction.

The transition over from WordPress went as smooth as it could but unfortunately, the posts didn’t format correctly. Over the coming weeks, I will be making sure that they look normal again.

Also with any of my self hosted video files, I will be converting them over to work here as well. A little patience goes a long way.

You’ll notice things look a little different. All schedules for the Red Sox and UConn can now be found at the top of the page.

I do apologize for not really posting the past few days.

Besides helping my father rip carpet out of a flooded basement, I’ve been busy with the transition over here. Like I said there’s still work to do but we’re on our way to getting back to normal.

Many thanks to Ben, Derek and Dave on allowing me to become a part of the Bloguin Network and also to their hard work in helping get my site ready for business.
