Barry Bonds has done it. He just went yard off of Washington Nationals starter Mike Bascik. Bascik becomes part of history now giving up the record breaking homerun. Bascik showed some class by tipping his hat to Bonds after the homer. The homerun traveled 435 feet into right field. Bascik also becomes the 446th pitcher to give up a homer to Bonds.
Bascik’s dad, Mike, faced Hank Aaron when he was on 755. He gave up a single to Aaron while his son now gives up the record breaker to Bonds. (Thanks to Steve for that tip)
They played a message from Hank Aaron offering his best wishes to Bonds and his family on becoming the homerun king.
