The University of Connecticut Police along with Connecticut State Police just held a press conference about the stabbing death of UConn Huskies cornerback Jasper Howard in the early morning hours of October 18th. They announced that they have arrested three men, including charging one with murder.
John William Lomax III was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree. Both of these are felonies and he is being held on $2 million bond. Hakim Muhammad was charged with conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree. He is being held on $750,000 bond. Both men are due in Rockville (CT) Superior Court on Wednesday, October 28th.
Jamal Todd was arrested for falsely reporting an incident and reckless endangerment for pulling the fire alarm. He was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on November 10th.
The arrest warrants are sealed as of right now and they didn’t take questions at the conclusion of the press conference.
