According to his wife Shonda, Curt Schilling will retire rather than return to baseball next season so that he can spend more time with his family.
Shonda Schilling said her hubby is “leaning towards” retirement because he wants to spend more time with her and the kids.
“Gehrig goes to high school next year and it’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, where does the time go. We only have four years left with him.’ ” Shonda said. “I think he feels the pressure.”
Shonda adds that they will stay in Massachusetts when Curt does in fact retire.
It should be interesting to see his response to what Shonda has said. With Curt joining WEEI last week, the signals are there to retire. Now we just need to hear it from his mouth.
