If you stayed up until the wee hours of the morning, you saw the Red Sox bullpen hold off the Angels in a 9-6 win. The Sox bullpen was outstanding while the normally dependable Halos bullpen struggled last night. Mike Lowell and Dustin Pedroia got the Sox rolling with some timely hitting. Lowell had 3 doubles last night. Jon Lester struggled mightily last night as well but so did his counterpart Dustin Moseley. All told, the Red Sox win coupled with the Yankees loss, puts the lead in the AL East at 6 games. Last night also marked the end of the West Coast games for the Sox and they couldn’t have returned to the right coast at a better time as the God awful humidity has left us.
