As Texy of Center Field pointed out today, there are some fake Boston Red Sox Twitter accounts out there including Jed Lowrie, Terry Francona and Jacoby Ellsbury. I’ll admit I was duped by the Lowrie and Ellsbury ones. When I had found the Tito one, I asked Texy if it was a fake and she replied of course it is.
The point here is that if you’re going to post on a fake Twitter account, at least make sure that the “Twitter” doesn’t come during an actual game as the fake “Jed Lowrie” did during tonight’s Red Sox/Mets exhibition game.
As you can see in the top picture, the time on there is 21:34:03 PM which translates to 9:34:03 PM. The Red Sox and Mets resumed their exhibition game at Citi Field at roughly 9:11 PM tonight.
