The 2012 season in Major League Baseball will bring us the 100th anniversary of the Boston Red Sox and to celebrate it, they have asked MLB to host the 2012 MLB All-Star Game.
“We have made a request to have another All-Star Game at Fenway Park in light of the upcoming 100th anniversary and the changes that have taken place,” Larry Lucchino said.
The Red Sox last hosted the All-Star Game in 1999 when the team was under the previous ownership group.
