AP & Amway Coaches Polls

After a little scare against the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs remain the consensus No. 1 team in the country on Sunday.

Mississippi State is followed by the Florida State Seminoles, Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers and Oregon Ducks in the AP Poll. In the Amway Coaches Poll, the top four is the same with the Michigan State Spartans are fifth.

The only ranked team from the American Athletic Conference is the East Carolina Pirates who come in at 21/19 which is a drop off from last week. There are no teams among the others receiving votes from the American.

The real poll comes out on Tuesday when the College Football Playoff Committee will release their first poll of the 2014 college football season.
