2010 Futures at Fenway presented by Xfinity to take place on Saturday, July 10
Fifth annual Minor League doubleheader will feature Single-A Salem Red Sox and Single-A Lowell Spinners who will play regular season games at Fenway Park with family-friendly ticket prices and discounted concessions; many entertainment options including a catch on the field scheduled for the day
BOSTON, MA – The Fifth annual Futures at Fenway presented by Xfinity minor league doubleheader will take place on Saturday, July 10 at Fenway Park. Similar to the four previous events, family-friendly ticket and concession prices along with kid-friendly activities will highlight this day of minor league fun at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark.
Kids and families attending the event will have a chance to participate in a number of exciting activities throughout the day. There will be a variety of kid-friendly activities such as a moon bounce, assorted carnival games, a balloon artist, a face painter and many other similar options throughout the ballpark. At the conclusion of the second game, kids with an accompanying adult will be invited to come down to the Fenway park field to participate in a brief game of catch. Kids will also be able to participate in mascot races and take part in other on-field activities. Additionally, youngsters will be able to get autographs from the players during autograph sessions scheduled on the Big Concourse.
There will also be discounted concessions available at the Fenway Park concession stands including Fenway Franks, Regular Soda, Popcorn, Candy and Cotton Candy.
In the first game of the doubleheader at 12:05 p.m., Boston’s Single-A affiliate, the Lowell Spinners will face off against the Jamestown Jammers (Single-A affiliate of the Florida Marlins Organization). In the second game, the Red Sox’ Carolina League Single-A affiliate, the Salem Red Sox, will make their Futures at Fenway debut by battling the Potomac Nationals (Single-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals Organization).
Tickets are available for fans to sit in ballpark locations many have never before had the chance to enjoy, such as the Green Monster Seats, on the Right Field Roof Deck, in the Dugout Seats, and EMC Club and State Street Pavilion. Prices are as low as $5.00 (for Bleacher seats) and range up to just $30.00 (for Green Monster Seats, Dugout Seats, the EMC Club and the State Street Pavilion Club).
