Jacoby Ellsbury made his Red Sox and MLB debut last night and had quite a memorable first at-bat. Josh Beckett was awesome for three innings and then all the sudden his command went array. Robinson Tejada couldn’t find the strike zone in the first two innings. There was Julio Lugo’s boneheaded attempt to steal third base with 2 outs in the 8th and Youk at the plate.
After both starters left the game, it was up to the bullpens to decide the game. Well neither bullpen faltered and the end result was a 5-4 Texas Rangers win. Now with that being said, let’s take a look at what the Boston and Dallas area media had to say about last night’s game and other happenings.
