During last night’s game, NESN’s Don Orsillo talked about how he dislocated Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona’s pinky in a wrestling match after Tito messed with DO’s hair. Tonight he had some more fun with Tito but in a different way.

The fine folks at the Lowell Spinners sent over some Francona bobbleheads and as you might imagine, Orsillo used it as a punching bag. You can bet that will also get back to Tito as what he said last night did.

With one out in the 9th inning on Tuesday night, Boston Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury knocked in pinch-runner Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who made a great slide to get in safely, to give them a 3-2 walkoff win over the Cleveland Indians.

We all know Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona likes to have fun with NESN’s Don Orsillo on occasion. The pair apparently has a good natured feud going in all the time.

But apparently, DO dislocated Tito’s pinky on Monday after Tito messed with what little hair Orsillo has. So on Tuesday night, Tito started the payback by calling him “Rem” when signing off from the in-game interview.

Okay okay, the title of the post is a little bit misleading but Boston Red Sox pitcher Josh Beckett did make a young fan cry before Thursday afternoon’s game versus the Kansas City Royals.

Of course, it was tears of joy for the young fan who received a ball from Beckett as he was coming in from the dugout before making the start.

I think we all remember the “controversy” of NESN Boston Red Sox analyst Jerry Remy calling former Sox third baseman Mike Lowell an “arrogant athlete“. If you don’t let’s refresh your memory.

As I had initially thought, Remy was joking around when he said that. And as is the case, we didn’t get the full story.

Here’s what the RemDawg had to say on Dennis & Callahan Wednesday morning about the situation:

Now I know a lot of people thought Remy was being serious so I hope that HIS words clear up the entire situation.

Just before the NESN cameras came back in the 4th inning on MLB.tv, they were focused on former Boston Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell and his kids while he was receiving yet another standing ovation from the Fenway Faithful.

Obviously NESN color analyst Jerry Remy didn’t realize his microphone was open as he called Lowell an “arrogant athlete”. 

I definitely have to think that Remy was joking around especially considering the fact that you could hear Don Orsillo laugh after he said that.
