Video: Milan Lucic Stops By The Fenway NESN Booth

During Wednesday afternoon’s stinker for the Boston Red Sox against the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston Bruins left winger and Stanley Cup Champion Milan Lucic made a visit to the NESN booth.

During his visit with Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy, Lucic talked about his day with the Stanley Cup, his upcoming Rock and Jock Charity Softball event and his preparations for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

Video: Red Sox Turn Triple Play on Rays

For the first time since 1994, the Boston Red Sox completed a triple play in the fourth inning during the second game of the doubleheader with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.

After Red Sox starter Erik Bedard had put runners on first and second with no outs, he got a grounder off the bat of Sean Rodriguez to Jed Lowrie at third. Lowrie stepped on the bag for the first out, fired over to Dustin Pedroia for the second out. Pedroia’s relay went over to Adrian Gonzalez to get Rodriguez at first.

The last triple play for the Red Sox came in 1994 when John Valentin completed an unassisted triple play against the Seattle Mariners.

Video: Don Orsillo Thinks Jerry Remy Should Spike His Hair

When the NESN cameras panned over to a Seattle Mariners fan with some serious spiked hair, NESN Boston Red Sox play-by-play analyst Don Orsillo cracked a joke that Jerry Remy should grow his hair out and spike it like the fan.

Of course the RemDawg came back with the sarcastic answer we all thought he would.

Video: Josh Reddick’s Walkoff Wins It For Red Sox

Walkoff wins seem to be becoming a recurring theme at Historic Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox lately. Jacoby Ellsbury had two of them, a walkoff single and walkoff home run against the Cleveland Indians.

And on Sunday night, Josh Reddick delivered the latest one as his walkoff single scored pinchrunner Darnell McDonald to give the Red Sox a 3-2 win over the New York Yankees in 10 innings. More importantly, it put the Red Sox back in sole possession of first place in the AL East.

Video: Tough Day For Fenway Beer Vendor

During the 6th inning of Saturday’s 10-4 win for the Boston Red Sox over the New York Yankees, one of the Fenway Park beer vendors had a little accident. He ended up spilling his whole tray of beer cans all over the field to create the first ever “beer delay” in MLB history.

Here’s what Red Sox skipper Terry Francona had to say about it:

“I was just glad Bogie didn’t grab one and start drinking it,” Terry Francona said after the game. “I didn’t know what was going on. So many things happen in our games here. I saw the umpire running, I’m thinking, my goodness, what did I miss now? Who’s fighting who or who said something to who?”

And here’s the umpire’s reaction.

Video: Jacoby Ellsbury’s Walkoff HR Wins It for Red Sox

During last night’s Boston Red Sox vs Cleveland Indians game, Jacoby Ellsbury was the hero when his single scored Jarrod Saltalamacchia to give them a 3-2 walkoff win. Faced with the same situation again on Wednesday night, Ellsbury did it again.

And this time he had a little more flair for the dramatic as it was his walkoff home run that gave the Red Sox a 4-3 win.

Here’s the home run, along with the postgame interview from Heidi Watney.
