Before Sunday’s 12-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers, the Boston Red Sox paid tribute to the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins. Here is the video of the ceremony in case you missed it:

During the third inning of yesterday’s 16-4 win for the Boston Red Sox over the Toronto Blue Jays, home plate umpire Mark Carlson forgot how many strikes there were.

John Lackey was behind in the count 2-1 to Yunel Escobar when Lackey threw a fastball that was called for a strike. But Carlson apparently forgot the count and rang up Escobar.

New York Yankees fan Alec Baldwin and Boston Red Sox fan John Krasinski are back at it again in the third installment of their feud.

In case you missed them, here is the first one and the second one.

Earlier in the week, I posted a video of the Boston Red Sox bullpen band making their comeback. Well it definitely seems as though they are back in the saddle again as once again they were good enough to make the broadcast during the game on Sunday afternoon.

Red Sox reliever Daniel Bard has spearheaded the effort to put the band back together and had Rich Hill join him again. Bard will need some help down the line though if Hill decides to have Tommy John surgery which does seem likely at this point. The other member of the band playing on Sunday was Alfredo Aceves although it looked like he was playing with his hands and not an “instrument”.

While Alfredo Aceves was the MVP of the game for the Boston Red Sox in my opinion, it was J.D. Drew who came up with the game-winning single in the 14th inning to give the local nine a 9-8 walkoff win over the Oakland A’s on Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park.

The first one featured Dustin Pedroia, Terry Francona and Carl Crawford.
