I forget to add this in at first but here is head coach Bill Belichick’s weekly visit with the Big Show on WEEI in Boston.Â
Washington’s Randall Godfrey confronted Bill Belichick on the field after the game and accused him of running up the score after Washington’s loss.
According to Tom Curran of nbcsports.com Godfrey says he told Belichick:
“You need to show some respect for the game. You just don’t do that. I don’t care how bad it is. You’re up 35 points and you’re still throwing deep? That’s no respect,” Godfrey said.
Belichick was asked about the subject, and said:
“What did you want me to do, kick a field goal? We’re just playing … It’s not (the offense’s) job to not score. It’s like I tell the offense, what the hell do you think I send you guys out there for? To punt? We have a punt team for that.”
NFL Hall of Famer and FOX Sports Howie Long said:
“the Redskins shouldn’t have been running their mouths about how New England had never seen defensive backs like theirs and that they wouldn’t get blown out like the other teams. Keep your mouth shut and maybe the Patriots would respect the Redskins a little more. “
If Godfrey was so upset at being disrespected he should have made more than 1 tackle.
I’m pretty much sick and tired of everyone knocking the Patriots and the scores of the games. “They’re running up the score” comes the whine we frequently hear well the last I knew this wasn’t the Challenger Division of Pop Warner where everyone gets a trophy for putting their shoes on and tying them.
So to show the whiney bitches of the world something I did some research something that the Mark Schlereth’s, John Clayton’s and the others haven’t done.
Here are some of the most prolific offenses in recent NFL history from the Rams, Colts, Niners and Broncos. When those teams did it, it was look at the numbers, how do you stop them, the greatest show on turf, why bother showing up you’re gonna get whipped, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Have you recovered from your hangover yet or are you ready to start partying it up again. If you’re ready to party it up again, the Red Sox Rolling Rally will be getting underway around noon today starting at Fenway Park. The Red Sox got back to Fenway Park in the late afternoon Monday and were greeted by throngs of loving fans. There was a few excitable moments for the crowd as a few lucky fans got to touch the World Series trophy when Red Sox owner John Henry got off the bus and walked by the crowd. Then after gathering his belongings off the bus and doing an interview with NESN, a very tired Big Papi came back out and walked around with the trophy too.
So before you get ready to head out to the rally or decide to go home early with a *cough*, take a look at the headlines from the Boston area media on the second morning of the 2007 World Series reign. By the way, Jonathan Papelbon will have his own flatbed, just so he can dance along the route. It should be a memorable afternoon in Boston.

I will tell you this right now, Peter Abraham is the man. He’s on top of his game right now because he was the first person to break the story that Joe Torre and Don Mattingly will be heading for Tinseltown to manage the Dodgers.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have decided to fire manager Grady Little and replace him with former Yankees manager Joe Torre, The Journal News has learned.
Torre, 67, could be named manager as soon as tomorrow, according to two sources close to the situation. Don Mattingly is expected to accompany Torre to Los Angeles as his bench coach. Torre is also interested in hiring Kevin Long, his hitting coach with the Yankees.
The Dodgers were 82-80 this season under Little and were beset by clubhouse unrest. Owner Frank McCourt, a Boston native, decided Torre is best suited to quell that situation.
You have to absolutely love Torre right now for the giving the big GFY to the Yankees who will be set to announce Joe Girardi as their manager sometime today.
And poor Grady Little, that guy just can’t catch a break.
to Jason from My Baseball Bias.
As seen on David Letterman tonight.

Hi my name is Scott Boras and because my client Alex Rodriguez needs attention, I am going to release the news a day or two early that ARod is going to opt-out of his contract with the New York Yankees. The reason why is that the Red Sox don’t need the attention, it should all be focused on my prized stallion, who is worth more than the Red Sox franchise.
It was bad enough that Joe “I want my Troy Aikman back” Buck and Tim “Get a clue” McCarver had to report about it during the game, the slimy little twerp that is Ken Rosenthal had to call Boras and get a statement from him. And after some severe detective work and a couple of Lincoln’s slipped to a few people, I managed to get my hands on the complete transcript of the conversation.
Boras: wtf do you want rosenthal?
Rosenthal: well that nimbwit Heyman beat me to the story but I am on during the World Series, how would you like the attention.
Boras: I’d love it and who cares if it’s the World Series.
Rosenthal: yeah the Sox are going to win anyways.
Boras: Your still shorter than Pedroia.
Wait it gets better, Boras actually had the balls to apologize and said he meant to disrepect by it. If you’ve ever played liar’s poker, this is the time that you call bullshit.
“I apologize to the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies and their players, Major League Baseball and its players, and baseball fans everywhere for that interference,” Boras said in a statement.
“The teams and players involved deserved to be the focus of the evening and honored with the utmost respect,” it continued. “The unfortunate result was not my intent, but is solely my fault. I could have handled this situation better, and for that I am truly sorry.”
Someone enter Boras into the 2008 World Series of Poker, where bullshit reigns supreme.

During the last two games of the ALCS and all of the World Series, a new hero emerged in Red Sox Nation and his name is Jacoby Ellsbury. We all know his exploits from when he burst on to the scene back in late June. We all know what his finals stats were in 33 games this season in Boston. We all know he can play defensively.
With Ellsbury emerging in the Sox outfield, one move you will see Theo Epstein make is trading Coco Crisp. With Ellsbury ready for primetime, there is really not a need for Coco in the outfield anymore. It’s unfortunate too, I liked the way Coco played in the outfield. If Coco hadn’t have gotten hurt to start last season, maybe things would be different.
But as the future comes, we know that we will not be losing anything with Ellsbury.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino announced at a press conference that the Red Sox will hold a rolling rally Tuesday starting at 12 noon.
It will start at Fenway Park and follow the same route as the 2004 rolling rally except the team will not be heading down the Charles River on Duck Boats. The mayor said the team didn’t want to go into the river. The parade will end near City Hall Plaza.
The city said Jumbo screens will be set up on Boston Common, at Copley Square and City Hall Plaza. The team will accompanied by the Drop Kick Murphy’s who will be playing through out the parade route.
The city wanted to hold the parade on a weekend day but the players requested that they do it Tuesday so that they can return to their families and homes after a long season.
The MBTA will be running full tilt all day long and people are encouraged to use mass transportation whenever possible.
Why no have some fun and try a few baseball bets this season. It can be fun to place a bet now and then, and there are many sports to choose from. If you like horce racing betting there’s always the grand national odds. Have fun taking a gamble!
To me this is the most fitting moment from the postgame celebrations last night. What else can you about Tim Wakefield other than what Mike Timlin said.

I am still at a loss for words right now but I will say this, THE BOSTON RED SOX ARE WORLD CHAMPS AGAIN!!!! The Red Sox will land today at 3:30 PM at Logan in Boston and then head to Fenway. Will we see the Papeldance with Beckett then or will we have to wait for the parade. Speaking of the parade, no word on the exact day yet. I do want to say one thing though which gets overlooked during these situations. Congratulations to the Colorado Rockies organization. It was a magicial run for them to get to where they were at and none of them should have their heads down. They have the pieces to do it again with their group of rookies and veterans and could be there again next year facing the Red Sox again 😀 .
Now on to the headlines from the Boston area and Denver media as well as Kevin Youkilis and Curt Schilling on this World Series Championship morning in Red Sox Nation.
