As many of you know, I am one of the voters in the BlogPoll Top 25. Each week, bloggers across the country representing the various FBS schools get together and put together their own top 25's.

Here at SOX & Dawgs, we are representing the UConn Huskies.

2012 NCAA Football Rankings – Week 14 (Nov. 25)

AP & USA Today Coaches Polls

The NCAA football rankings are out and there's no doubt who the No. 1 team is. And as sick as it makes me to say, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will finish the regular season as the No. 1 team in both polls.

They are followed by the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, The Ohio State Buckeyes and Florida in the AP Poll. In the Coaches Poll, the top three teams are the same and they are followed by the Oregon Ducks and Florida Gators.

There are no Big East teams ranked this week in the AP Poll. However, the Louisville Cardinals and Rutgers Scarlet Knights are still ranked in the Coaches Poll at Nos. 23 and 25 respectively. They are among the others receiving votes in the AP Poll.

The Cincinnati Bearcats are the only team from the Big East among the others receiving votes in both polls.

2012 Blogpoll Top 25 – Week 12 Ballot

As many of you know, I am one of the voters in the BlogPoll Top 25. Each week, bloggers across the country representing the various FBS schools get together and put together their own top 25's.

There's really no choice here in putting Notre Dame No. 1. I still will not put Ohio State in my poll since they are ineligible for the postseason.

It seems I've neglected putting the Texas Longhorns in my 25 the past few weeks. I've added them in this week where I thought they should be ranked.

2012 BCS Standings – Week 5 (Nov. 11)

For the first time this season, we have a new team atop the BCS standings that came out on Sunday night.  And it's not the top team in the AP & USA Today Polls that came out earlier in the day on Sunday.

BCS While the Oregon Ducks are the No. 1 team in those polls, it's the Kansas State Wildcats who come in this week as the top team in the BCS standings.

They are followed by Oregon, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs. And in case you were wondering how strong the SEC is, they have the No. 4 through No. 9 teams in the poll.

There's still two Big East teams in the top 25 as the Louisville Cardinals come in at No. 19 and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at No. 22.

You can head over to the BCS website to see how the poll is computed weekly and how the teams are selected for the BCS bowls.

2012 Blogpoll Top 25 – Week 11 Ballot

As many of you know, I am one of the voters in the BlogPoll Top 25. Each week, bloggers across the country representing the various FBS schools get together and put together their own top 25's.

Here at SOX & Dawgs, we are representing the UConn Huskies.

You can check out the ballot I submitted earlier today by clicking on the continue button below if you're on the homepage.

As per normal, I do not put The Ohio State Buckeyes in my poll because they are ineligible to play for the national title.

No surprises here really.

I bumped up Texas A&M four spots because they knocked off the No. 1 team on the road. Alabama stays in my top four becasue they are still really one of the better football teams out there.

Oregon gets my No. 1 spot. I watched them play last night and let's just say they are impressive and fun to watch. There aren't too many teams if any that can keep up with their style of play. Texas A&M might be able to match them offensively with tempo but could the defense.

2012 NCAA Football Rankings – Week 12 (Nov. 11)

AP & USA Today Coaches Polls

The NCAA football rankings are out and after the Texas A&M Aggies beat the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, we have a new No. 1 team in the land.

The Oregon Ducks, fresh off a 52-17 pounding of the Cal Bears, take over as the No. 1 team in the land in both polls.

They are followed by the Kansas State Wildcats, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs in the AP Poll. In the USA Today Coaches' Poll, the top three are the same with Georgia fourth and Alabama fifth.

The Louisville Cardinals saw their perfect season come to an end on Saturday but are still one of two Big East teams ranked. The Cardinals come in at No. 20/18. The other team is the Rutgers Scarlet Knights who come in at No. 22/20.

The Cincinnati Bearcats are the only team from the Big East among the others receiving votes in both polls.
