As expected after they demolished the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday, the UConn Huskies women's basketball has ascended to the top of the rankings this week.
They are followed by the Baylor Lady Bears, Duke Blue Devils, Stanford and Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the top five of the AP Poll. In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Huskies and Bears are followed by Stanford, Duke and Notre Dame.
Joining UConn and Notre Dame in the top 25 from the Big East are the Louisville Cardinals (11/10).
The Syracuse Orange are the only team from the Big East among the others receiving votes in both polls. The Villanova Wildcats are among the others receiving votes in the AP Poll while the South Florida Bulls and DePaul Demons are among the others receiving votes in the Coaches Poll.
