Just like the AP Preseason Top 25 women’s basketball preseason poll that came out last week, the UConn Huskies women’s basketball team is ranked No. 4 to begin the 2011-12 season.
As it is in the AP Poll, the Baylor Lady Bears are No. 1 here as well. They are followed by Notre Dame, Tennessee, UConn and Stanford.
Joining Notre Dame and UConn from the Big East in the top 25 are Louisville (9), Georgetown (11), Rutgers (17) and DePaul (18). St. John’s, Marquette and Syracuse are among the others receiving votes.
