The first NCAA women's basketball preseason poll came out on Saturday and it comes courtesy of the AP. In it, we find the defending champions, the Baylor Lady Bears, on top of the poll.
Our UConn Huskies come in at No. 2 and are followed by the Duke Blue Devils, Stanford Cardinal and Maryland Terrapins in the top five.
Joining UConn from the Big East in the top 25 are the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7), Louisville Cardinals (9), St. John's Red Storm (14) and DePaul Blue Demons (25).
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Georgetown Hoyas are the only teams from the Big East among the others receiving votes.
