The 2009 This Year in Baseball Awards are out and only one member of the Boston Red Sox took home an honor. And that player is center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury who was named Defensive Player of the Year.

Besides being a stolen base machine, Ellsbury has the knack to make the amazing diving catch on occasion. Ellsbury had .994 fielding percentage in the outfield and had 357 putouts.

Here’s a couple of his catches from the 2009 ALCS against the Angels.
