Jackie Bradley Jr. #25 of the Boston Red Sox hits a two-run single in the seventh inning against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field on May 27, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia.

I wonder if Boston Red Sox skipper John Farrell used this line to his charges before Tuesday’s game with the Atlanta  Braves.

After winning on Monday to end the ten game skid, the Red Sox won last night 6-3 to make it two in a row. If they win tonight, they’ll have what’s called a winning streak.

Jon Lester was solid. It wasn’t his best effort nor was it anywhere near his worst. He did what he needed to do. Lester allowed three runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out seven in six innings. Craig Breslow, Junichi Tazawa, Andrew Miller and Koji Uehara kept the Braves off the scoreboard the rest of the way.

David Ortiz had the big hit in the 7th with a single that tied the game. Grady Sizemore then added an RBI groundout to put the Red Sox ahead for good. Later that inning, Jackie Bradley, Jr. added some insurance with a two-run single.

Dustin Pedroia had three hits and an RBI to lead the Sox. JBJ added two hits and the two RBI while Sizemore had two hits and his RBI.
