Grant Balfour #50 and Ryan Hanigan #24 of the Tampa Bay Rays celebrate a win against the Boston Red Sox, 6-5, in game two of a doubleheader at Fenway Park May 1, 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts.

For all that bitching that Joe Maddon and the Tampa Bay Rays did, you’d think they’d be happy with the fact they swept the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. Instead, Maddon decided to take a cheap shot at the Red Sox visiting clubhouse thus earning a-hole No. 1 status.

The Rays picked up the win in Game 1 of the doubleheader 2-1 while winning the second game 6-5. The first game  was not without controversy as the Red Sox saw another replay go against them when there was clear enough visual evidence that Dustin Pedroia was safe with the tying run.

Instead, he was out and the Rays went on to win.

In the second game, Yunel Escobar homered off of Koji Uehara in the 9th and the Red Sox couldn’t push across Shane Victorino to tie in the bottom half against Grant Balfour.

Just one of those days the Red Sox would like to forget about and move forward tonight against the Oakland Athletics.
