Jose Bautista #19, Melky Cabrera #53, and Anthony Gose #8 of the Toronto Blue Jays celebrate their win and sweep of the Boston Red Sox during the game at Fenway Park on May 22, 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The last time the Boston Red Sox faced Mark Buehrle, they had their way with him. With the Red Sox having their supposed “ace” Jon Lester on the mound, you would have thought that the six-game losing streak would come to an end and they wouldn’t be swept on the home stand.

If you thought that, you were wrong.

The Blue Jays struck for seven runs in the first two innings on their way to a 7-2 win over the home team, completing the sweep and ensuring the Red Sox a 0-6 home stand.

Lester did manage to go 6.1 innings but with Buehrle shutting down the offense, it didn’t really matter.

Brock Holt had two hits for the Red Sox while Xander Bogaerts had a solo home run. Jonny Gomes had the other RBI on a single.
