Connecticut's Lawrence Wilson, left, tackles Syracuse's Antwon Bailey during the third quarter of an NCAA college football game in Syracuse, N.Y. , Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010. Connecticut won 20-6.

After being cut by the Carolina Panthers on Saturday, former UConn Huskies linebacker Lawrence Wilson found himself out of the NFL.

Well his stay out of the NFL didn’t last too long as the Panthers signed him to their practice squad on Monday. Wilson was the Panthers sixth round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Wilson saw action in three preseason games for the Panthers and recorded just one tackle in the Panthers 33-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers in the final preseason game.
