The New England Patriots signed former UConn OL Donald Thomas on Wednesday morning.
Thomas, a former 6th round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2008, is expected to see some time in the guard rotation as Don Connolly has been moved to center due to the injury to Dan Koppen.
The New Haven CT native who walked on to the football team at UConn is a former All Big East first team member in 2007 and was signed by the Detroit Lions in 2010 but didn’t see any action. He was one of the final cuts by the Lions during the 2011 NFL preseason.
He started one game for the Dolphins in 2008 before being placed on injured reserve list. He played in all 16 games, starting 12 of them, for the Dolphins in 2010.
