Marcus Easley #81 of the Buffalo Bills carries the ball during the game against the Minnesota Vikings on August 17, 2012 at Mall of America Field at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

After spending the 2010 and 2011 seasons on the Buffalo Bills injured reserve, Stratford, CT native and former UConn Huskies wide receiver Marcus Easley will finally get his chance to play in the NFL.

Easley, who was cut before the season and then signed to the Bills practice squad, was promoted from the practice squad on Tuesday to the Bills 53-man roster.

He was a fourth-round pick of the Bills in 2010 but missed the 2010 season with a knee injury suffered in the preseason.  He was inactive for the first game of the 2011 season and was then placed on the injured reserve list with a heart ailment.

Easley made three catches for 35 yards during the 2012 preseason before being cut.

Whether he's active or not for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots remains to be seen but it is nice to see Easley finally get his chance.
