The New England Patriots released recently signed DL Landon Cohen on Tuesday after afternoon. Cohen was brought back just last week when Myron Pryor was placed on the IR with a season ending injury.
Cohen had spent training camp with the Patriots and was among the last players released. He was claimed off of waivers by Seattle and released a week later. He then came back to Foxboro.
To take Cohen’s roster spot, the team has brought back veteran DL Gerard Warren an 11-year vet out of the University of Florida.
He spent the 2010 season with the Patriots and came back to the team at during training camp and was released prior to Week 1. It was speculated at that time that Warren was a possible candidate to return as he is one of those guys that Bill Belichick loves.
