New England Patriots linebacker Gary Guyton signed a two year contract extension with the team. Guyton, an undrafted free agent from Georgia Tech, made $350,000 in 2009 while racking up 85 tackles while playing all 16 games.
The two-year deal which covers 2010 and 2011, will pay Guyton $505,000 this season; $1 million next season plus he gets a guaranteed signing bonus of $650,000. Guyton is competing for a starting linebacker position with the team and also plays a pivotal role on the special teams unit.
