Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe is reporting that according to a league source the New England Patriots will place Andre Carter on the injured reserve list ending his spectacular season.
Carter was injured late in the first quarter of Sunday’s 41-23 win over the Denver Broncos.
Carter, a NFL legacy whose father Rubin played for Denver, was in his first season in New England after several years in Washington. He led the team with 10 sacks and 22 quarterback hits.
Carter tweeted “God is great. Thank you for showing me and my family support this season. It’s been a blast. Wouldn’t change it for anything.”
