In the first fight of the main event at UFC 132, Carlos Condit beat Dong Hyun Kim by TKO (flying knees and punches) at 2:58 of the first round.

Condit won the Knockout of the Night bonus for his knockout of Kim.

In the co-main event at Strikeforce: Dallas on Saturday night at the American Airlines Center, the first of the two Heavyweight Grand Prix Quarterfinal bouts took place. The first one involved Josh Barnett and Brett Rogers while the second one was between Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum.

Overeem would take the main event with an unanimous decision while Barnett submitted Rogers via an arm triangle choke at 1:17 of round two. Overeem moves on to the semifinals where he’ll take on Antonio Silva.

For Barnett, he’ll get a matchup with Sergei Kharitonov, a bout he talked about in his post-fight interview below along with the highlights of his bout.

In the first fight in the main event of Strikeforce: Dallas on Saturday night at the American Airlines Center, Chad Griggs beat Valentijn Overeem by TKO (strikes) at 2:08 of the first round.

It did appear that Overeem tapped out but the official ruling was a TKO by strikes.

In a fight that went back and forth at UFC 131 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday night, it was Dave “Pee-Wee” Herman who would come out on top of Jon Oleve Eimemo.

Eimemo had Herman on the ropes with some vicious hits but in the end it was Herman who wore him down to pick up the TKO (punches) victory at 3:19 of round two.

In the third fight in the main event of UFC 130 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Travis Browne knocked out Stefan Struve with a superman punch at 4:11 of the first round.

In the first fight in the main event of UFC 130 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Brian Stann beat Jorge Santiago by TKO (punches) at 4:29 of the secoond round.

It was thought that Randy Couture would be stepping into The Octagon for the final time on Saturday night at UFC 129 being held at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. And at the end of his bout with Lyoto Machida, it was all but certain that he would be heading to retirement for the final time.

Machida has lost his last two fights against Shogun Rua and Rampage Jackson but it was his nasty flying front crane kick that would send Couture into retirement at 1:05 of the second round.

In the second fight on the main card at UFC 129 at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, it took all of twenty seconds for Vladimir Vladimir Matyushenko to knock out (punches) Jason Brilz.

Jon Jones started his Saturday by stopping a robber at a park in New Jersey . Later that night, he would do some stealing of his own.

Jones totally dominated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua as he won by TKO (strikes) at 2:37 of the third round to win the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 128 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

After the post-fight interviews, Rashad Evans, who was originally supposed to fight Rua, came to the ring for an interview. Jones and Evans are teammates and good friends but will now square off for Jones’ belt some time in near future.
