When both Dan Henderson and Fedor Emelianenko stepped into the ring on Saturday night at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL, there’s no doubting they are both legends in MMA. And after the fight, one of them would cement that status while the other would have the term retirement creep into the conversation.
Both Henderson and Fedor came out of the gates quickly then settled down. But one punch from Henderson at 4:12 of the first round ended Fedor’s night and possibly career yet again as it was his third straight loss in Strikeforce.

Miesha Tate hadn’t stepped into the ring in over a year due to a knee injury but when she did for the first time in 2011, she made sure she had a memorable debut.
During the Strikeforce event on Saturday night at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, IL, Tate submitted Marloes Coenen at 3:03 of the 4th round with an arm triangle choke. With the win Tate becomes the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion.

It was supposed to be a knockdown, no holds barred fight between Chris Leben and Wanderlei Silva in the next-to-last fight at UFC 132 on Saturday night. And that’s exactly what it was as the fight lasted just 27 seconds.
Leben picked up the knockout win when he finished off Silva with some nasty punches at 27 seconds of the first round.

It’s been a long time Tito Ortiz has been a winner in The Octagon. 2006 to be exact and that came when he beat Ken Shamrock at Ortiz vs Shamrock 3: The Final Chapter.
Well it didn’t take him long to be a winner again in the second fight of the night at UFC 132 when he beat Ryan Bader by submission (guillotine choke) at 1:56 of the first round. Ortiz also took home the Submission of the Night bonus.
