If there’s one position on the UConn Huskies football team that has a lot of depth, it’s at the wide receiver position.
Last week, they lost true sophomore Leon Kinnard who decided to leave the program and transfer to FCS school Towson State. Towson’s head coach just happens to be former UConn assistant Rob Ambrose.
Well now you can add another UConn connection at Towson as redshirt junior wide receiver Gerrard Sheppard has decided to transfer there as well according to Desmond Conner of the Hartford Courant. He will be eligible to play right away.
Sheppard played in nine games last year, catching one pass for three yards.
