UConn's Caroline Doty in action against Oregon at Matthew Knight Arena Monday afternoon.

After knocking off the No. 1 team in the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday, we had to hope there would be no let down on Monday afternoon by the UConn Huskies women's basketball team.

It's pretty safe to say there was no let down.

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis led six Huskies in double figures with 19 points as they went on to an easy 95-51 win over the Oregon Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, OR.

The new No. 1 in the AP Poll (Coaches Poll comes out on Tuesday) Huskies improve to 12-0. The Ducks fall to 2-10.

KML also added five rebounds and four assists. Stefanie Dolson added 16 points, six rebounds and five assists. Caroline Doty had perhaps her best game in a UConn uniform with 14 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and four steals.

Kelly Faris chipped in with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals while freshman Morgan Tuck and Moriah Jefferson both had 10 points.

The Ducks were led by Jillian Alleyne's 18 points and six rebounds. Devyn Galland added 13 points. Ariel Thomas matched Alleyne's team-high rebounds with six points to go along with just three points.

Early on it looked the blowout would happen as it did as the Huskies raced out to a 12-0 lead. But over time, the Ducks responded back later on with 13 straight points that cut UConn's lead to 19-13.

But then the Huskies turned things on and started to play better as they closed out the first half on a 35-11 run. It more of the same in the second half.

It was nice to see UConn keep up the momentum from Saturday's big win. They'll need that to carry over going forward. Especially with a big game coming up on Saturday.

That big game will be against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as both teams will open up Big East play at Gampel Pavilion. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m. and the game will be nationally televised on CBS.
