The UConn Huskies men’s and women’s basketball teams will be holding their annual “First Night” festivities on October 17th at 6 PM at Gampel Pavilion. The event is UConn’s way of kicking off the season in a similar fashion to the schools that have Midnight Madness.
Starting at 6 PM, both the men’s and women’s teams along with the coaches will be conducting an autograph session. Fans will also receive a free poster.
The actual “First Night” festivities will start at 7 PM and will include a Women’s Team/Student Relay Race, a Men’s and Women’s Two-Ball Contest and a Slam Dunk Contest by the mens’ team. Both teams will also hold mini-intrasquad scrimmages.
