On Monday, USA Basketball announced the final 2007 USA Women’s roster for the Pan Am Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil from July 20-24. UCONN’s very own Mel Thomas and Charde Houston both made the final cut and have secured their places for a trip to Rio.
This is truly a tremendous honor for both Thomas and Houston. Not only do they get to represent the fine tradition at UCONN but they also get to play for their country and try to bring home a gold medal.
Congratulations goes out to both Thomas and Houston on a honor well deserved. Good luck in Rio!
