The honors continue to roll in for UConn Huskies junior center Hasheem Thabeet as today he was named to a Second Team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
The First Team is headlined by Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina and includes DaJuan Blair of Pittsburgh, Stephen Curry of Davidson, Blake Griffin of Oklahoma and James Harden of Arizona State. Hansbrough is just one of 18 players to be named to the team three times joining UNC alum Sam Perkins as the only other Tar Heel to do it.
