The Big East Conference announced it’s weekly football awards on Monday and UConn Huskies kick returner/running back Robbie Frey was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll.
Frey had three kickoff returns for 163 yards and returned one of those three kickoffs for a 100 yard touchdown in the 28-24 loss to Rutgers last Saturday.
Unfortunately, Frey is now out for the season after suffering a torn labrum in his shoulder. He will eventually need surgery.
The Huskies are back in action on Saturday night when they take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati. The game will start at 8:00 p.m. and will be shown in prime time on ABC.
