After going 3-3 on the past road trip, the Boston Red Sox return home to the friendly confines of Fenway Park to host the Tampa Bay Rays in a four-game set.
Tonight’s game will start at 7:10 p.m. and will be shown on NESN in the Red Sox television market. The game will be broadcast on Sun Sports in the Rays television market. If you can’t catch the television broadcast, you can always listen to the game on the 2010 Red Sox radio network.
Josh Beckett makes the start for the Red Sox tonight. In two previous starts this season, he is 1-0 with a 6.17 ERA. In five starts against the Rays in 2009, Beckett was 2-1 with a 5.02 ERA. He’s made 15 career starts against the Rays and is 7-4 with a 3.68 ERA.
Wade Davis makes his second career start against the Red Sox for Joe Maddon. In his second career MLB start, the Red Sox got to him for eight runs in just 2 2/3 innings as he took the loss. Ironically enough, that start was also against Beckett.
