After losing the first three games of the series, the Boston Red Sox look to get back in the win column on Monday morning against the Tampa Bay Rays.
This morning’s game will start at 11:05 a.m. and will be shown on NESN in the Red Sox television market and will be broadcast on Sun Sports in the Rays television market. If you can’t catch the television broadcast, you can always listen to the game on the 2010 Red Sox radio network.
John Lackey gets the Patriot’s Day call in his third start of the season. He’s currently 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA. Lackey made one start against the Rays in 2009 and was shelled as he gave up eight earned runs in five innings as a member of the Angels. He’s made 12 career starts against the Rays and is 9-2 with a 3.07 ERA.
Jeff Niemann makes just his second career start against the Red Sox this morning. It will also be his Fenway Park debut. In his previous start (5/2/09), he allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks with three strikeouts in three innings of work. He’s made two starts this season and has no record with a 3.24 ERA.
