Exciting times for everyone today in Red Sox Nation as top pitching prospect, Clay Buchholz, makes his MLB debut against the Angels. He will pitch the first game then be sent down to make room the top position player prospect, Jacoby Ellsbury, who will be up for his second stint with the big club. Nothing official has been announced yet but it looks like Wily Mo Peña will be designated for assignment to free up a spot for the Texan, Buchholz. It also looks like Ellsbury will only be up for Friday’s 2nd game and Bobby Kielty will come up from Triple-A Pawtucket to take the spot of Ellsbury. So while all the Boston area scribes were busy finding out the information, let’s take a look at what they actually had to say in today’s paper.
