What is there to say about last night’s game? Well for starters, Kason Gabbard was amazing on the mound. To me, other than Curt Schilling’s 1-hitter, that was probably the best pitched game by a Red Sox pitcher. And that’s saying a lot given some of the performances by Daisuke Matsuzka and Josh Beckett. Secondly, the power came back on at the Fens as Dustin Pedroia, Manny Ramirez, and David Ortiz all smashed homeruns. Pedroia’s and Manny’s homers were both no-doubters and Big Papi’s snuck around Pesky’s Pole. At the end, it was a complete game shutout win for Gabbard and the Sox.Moving on, let’s take a look at the headlines from the Boston area and Kansas City media on this Tuesday morning.
