Trevor Cahill (L), Josh Beckett (R)

This afternoon’s game will start at 1:10 p.m. and will be televised on NESN in the Red Sox television market. He’s made eight career starts against the A’s and is 5-3 with a 4.41 ERA. Four of those starts have come at the Fens where he is 3-1 with a 5.40 ERA.

Trevor Cahill makes his 13th start of 2011 for skipper Bob Geren. In his previous 12 starts, Cahill is 6-3 with a 2.31 ERA.
