After an extra innings win last night, the Boston Red Sox look for their third straight win and second against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim tonight at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
First pitch for tonight’s game is scheduled for 10:05 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on NESN in the Red Sox television market. If you live in the Angels television market, the game will be broadcast on FOXSports West. If you can’t catch the television broadcast, you can always listen to the game on the 2011 Red Sox Radio Network.
Jon Lester looks to give skipper Terry Francona a win on his 52nd birthday in his fifth start of 2011. In his previous four outings, he is 1-1 with a 3.20 ERA. He made one start against the Angels in 2010, picking up the win back on May 4th after allowing one run in eight innings. He’s made five career starts against the Angels and is 2-1 with a 5.86 ERA. He’s made two career starts at Angel Stadium of Anaheim and is 1-0 with a 8.64 ERA (8 ER/8.1 IP).
Dan Haren looks to join his teammate Jered Weaver as a five-game winner tonight so far in 2011. In four starts, Haren is 4-0 with a 1.16 ERA. He made two starts against the Red Sox in 2010 going 0-2 with a 5.23 ERA. He’s made eight career starts against the Red Sox and is 2-5 with a 3.21 ERA.
