It appears Boston’s version of Lin-sanity is over as the Boston Red Sox have designated Che-Hsuan Lin for assignment to make room for Sandy Rosario who was claimed off waivers from the Miami Marlins on Wednesday.
Here’s the release from the Red Sox:
BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today claimed right-handed pitcher Sandy Rosario off waivers from the Miami Marlins and designated outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin for assignment.
The announcement was made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington.
