Here’s the press release from the Boston Red Sox announcing the makeup date of the April 22nd game with the New York Yankees that was rained out:
The Red Sox today announced that the Sunday, April 22 home game against the New York Yankees, which was postponed due to inclement weather, will be made up as the opener of a split day-night doubleheader on Saturday, July 7 at 12:35 p.m. The second game of the doubleheader will be played at 7:15 p.m. as originally scheduled.
Fans holding tickets to the April 22 rainout (Game #9) may use those tickets for the 12:35 p.m. game on July 7.
The Red Sox would like to remind fans that, for the 2012 season, all Fenway Park gates open one and a half hours prior to the scheduled first pitch Monday through Thursday with a select number of turnstiles opening two hours prior to first pitch at all gates Friday through Sunday to provide fans the opportunity to attend extended batting practice. All fans entering at that time must have tickets to that day’s game and will not be permitted to exit and re-enter the ballpark.
Additionally, the 12:35 p.m. game on July 7 will be televised on NESN with the 7:15 p.m. contest airing nationally on FOX. Both games will be broadcast in English on WEEI 93.7 FM/850 AM and in Spanish on WWZN 1510 AM.
