It was a great win for the UConn Huskies football team last night as they rallied from an 11 point deficit to beat the Louisville Cardinals 26-21. The win was costly though for the Huskies as they lost starting quarterback Tyler Lorenzen to a broken foot and starting tight end Steve Brouse to a broken right fibula. Both will undergo surgery on Sunday and will be out at least 6 weeks, quite possibly the season.
After a rough couple of series for Zach Frazer, he settled in and helped led the Huskies to 10 points to get them back in the game. Lawrence Wilson’s 45-yard interception return for a touchdown gave the Huskies the lead as the defense made it hold up the rest of the way to give the Huskies their first Big East win of the season and just their 3rd ever Big East road win.
