It’s shaping up to be a historical day today for the UConn Huskies football program as it’s thought they will have at least one, maybe two players drafted in the 1st round of the 2009 NFL Draft that starts at 4 PM. No one from UConn has ever been drafted higher than the 3rd round (Alfred Fincher by the Saints in 2005). By the end of Sunday, there could be a total of five, maybe even six players drafted by NFL teams.
I’ll have a couple of mock draft results posted up later this morning as we get ready for the draft later this afternoon.
