The Big East Conference announced that UConn’s game with Syracuse on November 17th will be broadcast on ESPN2 and will start at noon. This ought to make UConn AD Jeff Hathaway happy now. UConn will be on ESPNU again this weekend when they face the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday at 3:30 PM in Cincinnati.
The Big East also announced that UConn defensive back Tyvon Branch was named the Big East Special Teams Player of the Week for his perfomance in Saturday’s 38-19 win over Rutgers.
Branch returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown. In the game, he had 184 yards on 4 kickoff returns. The kickoff return for a TD was his second of the season.
