On Sunday it was learned that the UConn Huskies vs Cincinnati Bearcats game this Saturday at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati would be televised in prime time on ABC at 8 p.m. And now on Monday, we learn that ABC is sending it’s top crew to the game.
According to Desmond Conner of the Hartford Courant, Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit will call the game with Lisa Salters on the sideline.
As much as UConn head coach Randy Edsall wants to continue to move forward from the tragic death of Jasper Howard, something tells me it’s going to be a little harder to do this week with the game being in the national spotlight.
The Bearcats are currently fifth in the BCS standings, fourth in the AP Poll and seventh in the coaches poll.
And oh by the way, do you know who was the last team to beat Cincinnati in the regular season? It was the UConn Huskies last year who beat them 40-16 on October 25, 2008 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, CT.
I wonder if Kevin Youkilis of the Boston Red Sox will be making another appearance like he did last year.
