Maya Moore doesn’t care about records that she’s broken. It was evident during Monday night’s UConn Huskies women’s basketball senior night when they listed all of her accomplishments in her four years at Storrs.

The game was also Seniors night, the last regular season game scheduled at Storrs, and Maya Moore and Lorin Dixon were presented with jerseys. And now we can add another record to the already long list.

For a record eighth time this season and all but assuring her as being named the Big East Player of the Year later this week, Moore was named the Big East Player of the Week.

In helping the Huskies cap off a perfect Big East regular season in a 3-0 week,  Moore 21 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

In the 80-59 over the Seton Hall Pirates, Moore had 20 points, six rebounds and five assists. In the 52-42 win over the Georgetown Hoyas, Moore had 20 points,  eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. And in her final regular season home game at Gampel Pavilion, an 82-47 win over Syracuse, Moore had 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.

She has scored in double figures in 146 of 150 career games and has scored at least 20 points in 71 of those 150 career games. Her record at UConn is a resounding 147-3.

Moore and the Huskies are back in action on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Big East Tournament being held in Hartford, CT at the XL Center.
